Tulalip Tribes' Law and Order Code (Ordinance 49)
Section 1.8 Tulalip Tribal Bar: Any person practicing as counsel in Tulalip Tribal Court must be a member in good standing of the Tulalip Tribal Bar. In order to qualify, all applicants must:
- Schedule and pass the Tulalip Tribal Bar Exam;
- Take the spokesperson's oath;
- Certify they are a member in good standing in any other jurisdiction in which the applicant is licensed.
To obtain study materials (Tribal ordinance book costs $65 dollars) and, to arrange to take the Tulalip Tribal Bar Exam, contact the Tribal Court at 360 / 716-4773 and speak with one of the Clerk's to schedule a time. Exams are held on Fridays and typically take two hours to complete.
