Tulalip Tribes Hazard Mitigation Plan

The 2006 Tulalip Tribes state-level Hazard Mitigation Plan was approved and adopted by the Tulalip Board of Directors on August 11th, 2006. This plan will serve as the basis of the Tulalip Tribes' emergency management and planning program. It was prepared as part of a nationwide effort involving states, local communities and tribes, and is intended to inform the Tulalip community about the disastrous effects natural hazards, such as earthquakes, tsunamis, floods and severe weather, can have on our property and families.

The plan meets the requirements of the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 (DMA 2000) and makes the Tulalip Tribes eligible for FEMA pre- and post-hazard mitigation grant funding, which can potentially make the Tulalip Reservation more resilient to the damaging effects of natural hazards.
