The purpose of COVID-19 Assistance to help eligible Tribal Members maintain their health, well-being, independence, and quality of life during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Tribe has a responsibility to protect and promote the general welfare interests of its members and to assist in providing support to its members.
The purpose of the Tulalip Homeowner Assistance Fund (THAF) is to prevent mortgage delinquencies and defaults, foreclosures, loss of utilities or home energy services, and displacement of homeowners experiencing financial hardship after January 21, 2020.
As of September 29, 2023, THAF is currently pausing processing any new applications. Staff is currently processing current applications until further notice. Once resumed, applications will be processed in the order they were received.
THAF funds may be used to assist with mortgage payments, homeowner’s insurance, utility payments, and other specified purposes. The law prioritizes funds for homeowners who have experienced the greatest hardships, leveraging local and national income indicators to maximize the impact.
