Competitive benefits and retirement plan

Health, Dental and Vision Plans:

  • Free healthcare insurance coverage option for regular full-time employees – Tulalip Tribes of Washington provides a 100% employer paid base medical, dental and vision plan to eligible employees
  • Tulalip Tribes offers eligible employees a choice of 3 medical PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) plans administered by HMA; 2 dental PPO plans administered by Delta Dental; and 2 vision plans administered by VSP Choice Network. Premium rates are applied to plans other than the employer paid base plans. Dependent children (under age 26) can be added to medical, dental and vision plans; spouses can be added to the dental and vision plans only.
  • Newly hired regular full-time employees can sign up for medical, dental and vision benefits after completing the initial eligibility period. Variable hour and part-time employees must meet Affordable Care Act (ACA) requirements to be eligible for benefits.
  • Tulalip Tribes provides eligible employees with an employer paid basic Life and AD&D (accidental death and dismemberment) insurance benefit through Principal Financial Group.
  • Tulalip Tribes offers Long Term Disability (LTD) insurance through Lincoln Financial. Voluntary benefits may be purchased by employees through payroll deduction. Voluntary benefits provided include Short Term Disability, Accident, Critical Illness and Life Insurance offered by NW Benefit Advisors – AFLAC Group.
  • Tulalip Tribes also offers 2 Flexible Spending plans – Health Care and Dependent Care. Employees can purchase LifeLock Identity Theft Protection through payroll deduction.

Retirement Plan

  • Tulalip Tribes offers an employee retirement savings plan through Principal Financial Group. Employees can contribute to a pre-tax 401(k) and/or after tax ROTH 401(k) savings account; you are always 100% vested in the money you contribute to the plan and the earnings on that money.
  • Tulalip Tribes will contribute 3% of employee salary as a safe harbor contribution to the employee account provided eligibility requirements have been met after one continuous year of service. These contributions and earnings are also 100% vested.
